Great customer service is not an accident and we know GVMH’s Food and Nutrition Services (FANS) provides great customer service. The department has been recognized nationally for sustained superior patient satisfaction and has patient satisfaction scores at the 97th percentile nationally which means only 3% of hospital food services in the country do it better – that’s elite company!
Our FANS staff get formal training on customer service and once they complete formal training they undergo a rigorous review process. If they complete training and pass a test they get to participate in Customer Service Graduation and they are awarded a new cap to signify their status as Customer Service Champions.
