LDI Update 4

Best line of the day so far came from Lynh Best, Education Director. Greg Shannon, HR Director and Lynh’s boss, spoke to us about the importance of peer interviewing. After returning to his seat Greg forgot to turn off his lapel microphone and he continued to discuss the topic from his seat but didn’t realize the mic was still on.  Lynh said “would you mind taking your mic off before you say something you’ll regret”. Brought the house down.

Peer interviewing is is important because it increases staff buy in, creates loyalty, improves retention and decreases turnover. The process has also been demonstrated to identify new staff who better fit within our culture at GVMH.
