LDI update 3

Penny Andrews, Directror of Quality, gave an update on GVMH’s performance in Value Based Purchasing (VBP).  Confusing stuff but GVMH compares well to national averages for quality, safety and patient perception of care.  All hospitals start with a 2% hold back of all Medicare reimbursement. That money is kept in a pool then divied up to all hospitals at the end of the reporting period. Some hospitals lose their 2% some hospitals get more than that. GVMH’s hold back was 2% and the final payment was 3.8% which is a positive difference of 1.8%!!!!

Great work by providers and staff. High quality, high safety and high degrees of patient satisfaction.
