I wish I had hair…

A story by the GVMH Foundation

Once upon a time, there was a GVMH employee named Ezra. Being a generous soul, he decided to donate his long, golden brown curls to Locks of Love.

Also being a thoughtful person, he wanted to help children at GVMH. He had a great idea and asked the person who raises money for the hospital to help him.

She was excited to share his great idea, which is to sell “guesses” as to how long the donation will be (Ezra will donate as much hair as he can).  “Guesses” are $1 each or 6 for $5, and GVMH employees can buy them from the Foundation office, Nursing Administration office or Ezra until May 30.

The person who guesses the length of his donation to Locks of Love to the closest 1/16th of an inch will win a $20 Clinton Chamber gift certificate. Ezra has decided a Rock-Paper-Scissors duel will decide the winner of the gift certificate if there is a tie.

The money raised will buy toys, games, books and e-books for children who visit the Outpatient Treatment Center either to receive services or with their families.

Ezra knows his great idea will raise lots of money, and everyone will live happily ever after.
