Please don’t kiss me

Ladies please read carefully.

The University of California at Berkley’s School of Public Health recently tested 32 common brands of lipstick and lip gloss and found some ugly results. Many of the products contained lead, cadmium, chromium, aluminum and five other metals, some of which were at levels that are cause for public health concern. That’s because lipstick is often ingested or absorbed, little by little, by the wearer.

Those who reapply lip makeup several times throughout the day were noted to have alarmingly high levels of some of the toxic metals. For instance, use of certain lip products could result in excessive exposure to chromium, a carcinogen linked to stomach tumors. High use of lip products over time can also lead to overexposure of manganese which has been linked to toxicity in the nervous system.

Now ladies, I’m not suggesting you should get rid of your makeup but don’t they make some of that stuff out of bat poop?
