Boy stuff for sale

One of the great things about working at a hospital when you’re pregnant is the great care you get from friends and colleagues. We’ve seen our baby in utero as much as most people see their baby in person the first week the baby is born. We’ve been fortunate to have physician friends who have performed ultrasounds “just to be sure everything’s progressing like it should”.

Fortunately, everything is progressing like it should…kind of. Late last Friday we had an “official 20 week diagnostic ultrasound”. The baby is healthy, it has 10 fingers, 10 toes, 2 arms, 2 legs and one head.

Even if you’re only slightly good at anatomy you’ve by now figured out that I’ve left an important appendage off of the list – that’s right the “official” ultrasound showed that we are having a girl!
