Medicaid expansion will pay dividends. You can help protect the health of Missouri and your job.

The legislative session recently opened in Jefferson City. Next week, Gov. Jay Nixon will deliver his State of the State address outlining his agenda for 2013.

This year, among the numerous bills that will be discussed, few are as vital to the state’s health and economic growth as Medicaid reform.

Participating in federal Medicaid reform will pay dividends for Missouri. It also will create jobs, strengthen local and state economies and help keep health care premium costs under control.

Medicaid can provide a bridge to health care for the working poor — those who are not offered health care through their job and who can seldom afford to buy insurance in the marketplace. And, that means a healthier workforce.

Medicaid reform will be good for Missouri. That’s why numerous associations and organizations — from health care provider groups to state and local chambers of commerce —support the expansion.

You can add your name to this growing list of Missourians. Sign the petition to support Missouri Medicaid reform today.
