Sometimes it’s as simple as “Happy Birthday”…

This feedback came through the hospital’s website, I thought it was worth sharing.

Re: Sherry Hartner and Kendra Goucher

This is a note to let you know how much we appreciate the nursing professionals in the outpatient department.

My husband has been receiving antibiotic IV therapy, twice daily, for several weeks:  a mental, physical and emotional challenge.  On his birthday, Sherry and Kendra, with a student nurse, came in and sang Happy Birthday to him.  Simple you say?  Yes, but above and beyond the call of duty.  Not only were they training a student in the art of nursing, but the heart of humanity… and isn’t that what nursing is all about?

Praises and thanks to Sherry and Kendra.

Thank you Kendra and Sherry, you’ve obviously impacted more than this patient’s health!
