The appearance of our facility has changed a lot over the past several years. It wasn’t that many years ago that the Golden Valley Medical Plaza was constructed and added to the existing hospital. Just last year we completed the renovation of all public space in the hospital and we are almost finished renovating patient rooms. Our facility is beautiful and I receive comments and compliments on the appearance on a daily basis. It has been amazing to me how staff pride in the facility has increased as the appearance has improved.
Construction has been an ongoing process over the past couple of years and you will soon hear more hammers banging on the second floor. We are in the process of finalizing plans to redesign and renovate the Outpatient Treatment Center.
We’ve seen a great deal of growth in the services provided through our Outpatient Treatment Center and current space limitations prevent us from expanding much needed services for our community. We currently offer a Pulmonology, Cardiology, Urology and Oncology Clinic in our Outpatient Treatment Center and demand for each of those services has exceeded capacity.
The renovation of the Outpatient Treatment Center will add two treatment rooms and a physician office which will allow us to host two clinics on any given day and provide the opportunity to expand our service offering.
Construction should begin around the first of July and we plan to complete the construction by October 1, 2012. Services in the area will remain open during the construction process which will require us to phase the construction and be sensitive to patient needs. The drawings of the renovated space look great and the finished product will have the same modern appearance as the rest of the facility. Below I’ve posted drawings of the work to be performed in the Outpatient Treatment Center.
