The Kansas City Royals official mascot, Sluggerrr, will be coming to meet and greet fans at GVMH’s annual Diabetes Walk!

This lovable lion has entertained millions of baseball fans at Kauffman Stadium and has made thousands of special appearances throughout the Kansas City area and the United States. He continues to be a fan favorite and is present at every Royals home game each season.

You can also support this year’s walk by purchasing a $5.00 breakfast ticket. The Elks will be cooking breakfast on the morning of the walk. Tickets are available for purchase at the hospital’s business office between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

The purpose of the annual Diabetes Walk is to raise funds for area diabetes services, programs and patients. Participants are encouraged to walk one mile or more and raise funds to fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes.

Please contact Jamie Ketterman, Diabetes Services Coordinator for additional information.   660-885-5511, Ext. 6081
