There are elves at work in the halls of GVMH and the elves are handing out five dollar bills.
GVMH has a set of Customer Service Standards and standard number four is:
Greet people with a pleasant and sincere greeting: Always maintain positive eye contact. Smile and use polite words. Leave people with a sincere farewell. Use their name if and when possible.
We’ve given a wad of cash to a few GVMH staff and if they “catch” you in the hallway smiling and saying hello they will hand you an early Christmas present.
Smile, it could be your lucky day! Maybe we should hand a lump of coal to anyone who doesn’t smile and say hello…
