Christmas Basket Program

A grass-roots effort by GVMH Staff that began in 2004 has evolved into a Christmas tradition at GVMH and has taken on a life of it’s own.  The tradition is the Christmas Basket Program.

Here’s how the program works.  Departments, physicians and staff put together themed baskets.  Staff and visitors then buy raffle tickets for $0.50 each and place their tickets in a drawing for the basket of their choice.  Ticket sales end at 12:00 pm tomorrow, December 10, and the winning tickets will be drawn at 2:00 pm.

Those purchasing tickets have the opportunity to win some great prizes.  There are 12 baskets and below is a list of what’s included in each basket.  As you’ll see these aren’t your ordinary gift baskets of fruit cake and hot chocolate.

The best part of the entire program is that all money raised goes to the benevolence committee to assist GVMH staff who might have a need throughout the year.  There is no limit to the number of tickets you can buy so clean out your desk and your car ashtray, bring in those extra quarters and buy a few tickets.  You never know, it might just be you who wins a basket or receives help from the Benevolence Committee!
