Santa Claus is coming to town!

Special thanks to Kelly Griffey for a sneak peek of what the Downtown Clinton Square will look like later tonight.

The fifth annual lighted holiday parade is set for tonight.  Sponsors for this year’s Chamber Christmas events are Hawthorn Bank and ReMax Truman Lake.

The parade’s theme this year is “Lighting the Way for a Great Holiday!”.

The Henry County Museum will be open this evening and feature it’s living history display.  There will be a live nativity scene on the Courthouse lawn and a number of businesses on the square will be open.  Don’t forget that Downtown Desoto is open until 5 p.m. today as well.

The Christmas parade will begin at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church and will follow the same route as last year – Franklin to Main then south on Main and around the square.

Be sure you are on the square before the parade starts so you can help count down the lighting of the square.  Clinton has one of the greatest town squares in the country and it never looks better than when it’s lit up for the holidays.

A jolly old fellow will make a grand entrance at the end of the parade so be sure you’ve got your list in hand and hope you’re on the good list!!
